About
Miles Technology Strategy is a Seattle–Tacoma studio. Small on purpose, serious about the work.

Why this exists
I'm Chris Miles. I've spent years in IT infrastructure and automation — the unglamorous plumbing that makes technology actually work. South Seattle College for computer science and network administration, but most of what I know came from building things, breaking them, and fixing them again. Experience over credentials. Curiosity over certainty.
Miles Technology Strategy is what happens when you point that toward the people who need it most: owner-operators doing five jobs at once, losing money to a missed call and an evening to paperwork. The promise is simple — automation gives you something worth more than money or gold. Your time. Your freedom.
How we think
We look at every decision two ways at once — and we won't build something that fails either test.
What does this feel like for the owner and their customers? Does it make a real person's day easier, or just look impressive in a pitch? If it doesn't help a human, it doesn't ship.
What does this mean for your business — your margin, your hours, your risk? We follow the money and the time. If a system doesn't save you one or make you the other, we'll tell you to skip it.
What you can count on
Plain language, honest trade-offs, no jargon meant to make you feel small. If something isn't worth your money, we say so.
Every automation has boundaries and a human checkpoint. We're honest about what AI can and can't do — and we build so it can't embarrass you.
No hostage situations. You get the keys and a guide you can actually read. Stay because it works, not because you're locked in.
One honest call. We'll tell you the biggest leak, whether you hire us or not.
